Dr. Louise Gutowski

Louise D. Gutowski, NMD

Dr. Louise Gutowski is a licensed Naturopathic Physician, in practice since 1991 in Scottsdale, AZ, specializing in homeopathy, diet and nutrition. She was trained as a classical Homeopathic Physician, which advocates using single remedies to balance the body and rid the patient of disease. She also uses homeopathic dilutions, which are individualized prescriptions for combination remedies. She believes in quality-individualized care and in treating the whole person.

Dr. Gutowski graduated from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, also earning a Certificate in Homeopathic Medicine, which was then the highest level of Homeopathic training at the school. After moving to Scottsdale, she attended the American Board of Naturopathic Medical Specialties, Inc. College of Family Medicine receiving a Diplomate and Board Certification in Family Medicine.  Prior to becoming a Naturopathic Physician, she received her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from the University of Miami and her Masters Degree in Developmental Reading from the University of New York at Albany. She taught for 15 years before changing careers to become a Naturopathic Physician.

Dr. Gutowski is past National Vice President for Business and Professional Women/ USA (BPW/USA), past BPW/USA Treasurer, past State President of BPW/AZ and past President of BPW/Metropolitan. She was also past President of a Scottsdale Chapter of American Business Women's Association (ABWA). She was honored to be BPW/Metropolitan Woman of the Year and was awarded the BPW/Metropolitan President’s Award. She has participated in numerous community outreach programs.

Other professional organizations include: American Association of Naturopathic Medicine, Arizona Association of Naturopathic Medicine, National Center for Homeopathy, Business and Professional Women (BPW), WISK (Women I Should Know) and Impact for Enterprising Women.

She has published articles in the Similium, a homeopathic journal and Inspirational Journal, a free magazine. She appeared on Arizona Rising on PBS and in 2007 was featured on Sonoran Living Live on Channel 15.

Dr. Walter Gutowski

Dr. Walter Gutowski

Dr. Walter Gutowski graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1987. He has had a long career in many different disciplines, but health and natural healing are his true passion.

Prior to his being in the Air Force from 1964 – 1968, he worked as a stevedore, a stock clerk and a salesman for Saks 5th Avenue. After his active duty and service during the Viet Nam war, he worked for the phone company for one year in Manhattan. He moved to Florida, worked in construction and earned a General Contractor's License. He then sold advertising for Peabody Advertising, winning a Top Salesman Award.

Still searching for his lot in life, he went to the only federally funded massage school in the United States, Lindsay Hopkins Technical School of Massage. He was the student most sought out to work on various guests that were visiting the school. After graduating, he worked in Miami at the office of Fred Gayle, DC, who became his mentor. While working there as a massage therapist, he was invited to attend the doctor's 100 hour Applied Kinesiology course. Dr. Gayle encouraged him to go to Chiropractic College at the age of 37 and he graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1987. He finally found happiness in helping others with their aches and pains.

Since moving to Scottsdale in 1990, Dr. Gutowski has done a lot of community service work with various organizations. He served on the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce Outreach Committee as Chairman and Co-Chairman. He was a member and participated in Toast Master's, Lion's Club, Optimist and Kiwanis at different times over the years. Dr. Gutowski enjoyed community service and watching Scottsdale grow.

His hobbies include collecting knives, shooting and watching TV. After being without a TV for 15 years from 1990 – 2005, he now enjoys a 65” screen to make up for all those years. He likes the period movies, especially for the costumes, hats and outfits that the females wore during the 1930's and early 1940's.

Dr. Gutowski dislikes the commercials about medications. His wife of 30 years takes no medications at all and he plans to keep her that way with natural health care.

Caroll

Office Manager

Caroll Murphy has been with us since 2002 as our office manager.  She is very competent in all office duties and assists the doctor when necessary. 

She has her Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Arizona State University.  She is a former Emergency Medical Technician and is also well versed in herbal medicine. 

Caroll helps prepare the homeopathic remedies and dilutions that are prescribed for our patients. She is cheerful, enthusiastic and extremely proficient. Every remedy and dilution that she prepares is done with accuracy and precision.
